The heroes and villains from Marvel Comics have had a presence in Fortnite for quite some time, but at this moment, they have practically taken over. This latest crossover event sees a variety of Marvel-themed skins and challenges added to the game. One of these tasks players with dressing up as the God of Thunder himself, heading to a specific location, and then using a new emote to unlock it permanently.
The first step to completing the Thor challenges in Fortnite is getting the skin, which can be accessed easily through the Battle Pass. The next thing players will need to do is prove their worth by claiming Mjölnir. It will be waiting in a crater to the south of Salty Springs. Aside from looking cool, it doubles as a harvesting tool. Bifrost marks will then need to be visited and then players will have to deal damage to other players with their hammer to complete the next stage of the challenge. After this, the third and final stage of the Awakening Challenges will be unlocked, tasking players to emote as Thor atop a mountain range.

After absorbing all of the latest Season 4 map changes, take a closer look at the bottom portions of the island. The elevation there is much higher than anywhere else. Those mountains are the next stop on this journey. The correct spot is at the very bottom of the map, the second white patch from the left, which has been circled on the map below. At this location, there will be three large stones jutting out of the mountaintop, with a bunch of smaller rocks littering the area. Land in this area, equip the Thor skin and Mjölnir. When players go to use an emote, there should only be one available to them. Use that emote and mighty Thor will raise his hammer and summon lightning. Now the Awakening Challenges are complete and this godly emote is now a permanent part of the collection.
Thor isn’t the only Marvel character to be added to the game after its latest update. The Fortnite Battle Pass is filled with Marvel icons. Skins for Wolverine and Storm from the X-Men are included, as well as She-Hulk, Iron Man, and more. They join heroes such as Deadpool and Star-Lord, who were added in previous updates. Since comic book characters are the subject, there has to be a dramatic story of good vs. evil, which Fortnite is delivering. Galactus appears to be the big bad of this narrative, but players first have to deal with other villains before that final confrontation. They can begin by beating Doctor Doom, which is one of the challenges available now.
After that, there are myriad other challenges to take on and rewards to claim. One of these challenges involves tracking one of the X-Men’s most popular members, Wolverine, i.e. the one with the healing factor, adamantium claws, and a bad temper. Players can make their way to the Weeping Woods in Fortnite to investigate Wolverine’s claw marks. Once it is complete, players are rewarded with a Wolverine-themed spray.
Fortnite is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
