Fortnite: Where To Find Low-Gravity Areas

Holly Hatchery Fortnite

Want to finish all of Fortnite's week six challenges as quickly as possible? We'll show you how you can get the Open Chest or Ammo Boxes in Low-Gravity Areas quest done in no time. Low-gravity isn't exactly something new on the Battle Royale island. It's been around for a while, it keeps coming and going but is always taking on a new form. It's been around since Season Four Chapter One.

The concept of low-gravity was first added to the game in the form of Hop Rocks and they were scattered through Dusty Divot. There have been Zero Point Crystals, Hop Floppers, Exotic weapons that simulated the effect such as the Hop Rock Dualies. And now there are low-gravity areas and Alien Nanites.

Low-Gravity Areas

There are two options when it comes to this challenge. You can either visit a location in the game with permanent low-gravity areas or you can make your own low-gravity zone.

Visit Holly Hatchery

Recently, Holly Hedge was modified, perhaps permanently. At least its name has been changed to Holly Hatchery and the location has now been taken over by Trespassers, the alien AIs. Its main building and some of the POIs houses are now inside low-gravity boxes. It is speculated that this is so the Trespassers can inhabit it and feel more at home, like an alien biome. There are even alien-like trees, their color is similar to that of the saplings players have had to plant for one of week six's challenges as well.

Enter one of these houses trapped in low-gravity boxes and loot three ammo boxes or chests to complete the challenge. The challenge can't be a random house, it has to be inside a low-gravity zone since that is exactly the main purpose of the quest.

For now, this is the only low-gravity zone in the game. However, since there are new updates every week to keep the game fresh, this may change. So, if you decide not to do the quest right away you may be able to do it in other POIs in the near future.

Use Alien Nanites

If you want to passively do this quest, you can do it with Alien Nanites instead of purposely having to land at Holly Hatchery. Alien Nanites are quite rare but you will occasionally find them. If you want more information on this, be sure to check out our guide on how to get and use Alien Nanites.

To do this, once you have an Alien Nanite, throw it just like a grenade and it will create a large low-gravity box just like those at Holly Hatchery. This effect lasts a total of 30 seconds. Use it to open three ammo boxes or chests which will complete the challenge.

On top of that, if you deploy Alien Nanites three times outside of Holly Hatchery you will also complete another one of week six's challenges.
