Fortnite's latest batch of Legendary quests is here for players to complete to earn loads of extra XP towards the battle pass. Since this Fortnite season revolves around an alien invasion, many of the quests are themed around that. For players looking to complete the quest to plant the wiretaps at different key locations can use this short guide for help.
There are several different places where players can visit to plant the wiretaps for this challenge, but this guide will cover three easy locations that are all close by to one another, making this quest pretty simple. Before visiting the locations, Fortnite players should make sure that they have a weapon or two on them, just in case some other players show up, causing trouble.

- Wiretap #1 (Catty Corner) – The first wiretap that players can plant is located in Catty Corner, in the map's southeastern corner. The wiretap is on the east side of Catty Corner, lying against a stone structure across from the area's payphone.
- Wiretap #2 (Lazy Lake) – Players can find the next wiretap northwest of Catty Corner, in Lazy Lake. In the southeastern section of the point of interest, there will be a fancy home with a small pool in the backyard. Players can find the wiretap lying against the wall of the house in the backyard.
- Wiretap #3 (IO Base) – The third and final wiretap location is at one of the IO bases northwest of Lazy Lake. The wiretap will be right in the middle of the base, leaning against a satellite dish. Players can also take out the IO guards and search the area for chests to try out the new Plasma Cannon weapon.
Once Fortnite players complete the challenge and earn their much-deserved XP, they can continue the Week 8 Legendary questline or perhaps search for the latest batch of Alien Artifacts that have appeared on the battle royale map. There are five new artifacts to be found, and each one gives the player some XP and new styles for the alien Kymera skin.
Also, in an update that came this week for Fortnite, there is now a mysterious clock that's counting down to some sort of special event. Epic Games has yet to reveal what the event could be, but leaks and rumors are pointing towards an Ariana Grande concert and that aliens will abduct chunks of several points of interest.
Fortnite is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
