Fortnite's upcoming LeBron James set will include three different skins, including a collab with Space Jam: A New Legacy.
It feels like a lifetime has passed since the arrival of LeBron James in Fortnite was leaked during the Apple vs. Epic court case. Over the last week or so, rumors that the household name's Fortnite debut was nearing really began to swirl. That brings us to today, and fans have finally been given the chance to take their very first look at what LeBron will look like in-game.
An image uploaded by Epic, which you can check out below, showcases the LeBron James set. A release date for the three new skins is yet to be announced, but rumor has it players will be able to pick it up sometime later this week. One of the skins, in particular, makes that seem incredibly likely. The Space Jam: A New Legacy outfit.

The sequel to the iconic '90s movie starring Michael Jordan hits theaters and HBO Max later this week, making the LeBron set the perfect opportunity for some cross-promotion. As well as the Tune Squad uniform, buyers of Fortnite's LeBron set will also be able to assume the identity of the NBA star while he dons a taco t-shirt and cargo shorts, and also a much smarter outfit featuring shades and a very snazzy floating crown.
How much the set will cost, or if the three skins can be bought individually, is yet to be revealed. The image also doesn't show whether LeBron will be getting any other items to celebrate his arrival. No mention of backbling, a pickaxe, or even an emote. You would think someone as big and famous as LeBron arriving on the island would warrant a little something more, perhaps an emote or maybe even his own LTM.
LeBron is the latest in a growing line of athletes to be immortalized in Fortnite form. Football stars Harry Kane, Marco Reus, and Neymar managed to join the battle before him. Fortnite players will soon be able to pit LeBron against any of them or have him take on Thor, Batman, and Marshmello. The possibilities are becoming more and more endless as Fortnite's roster grows, and LeBron might well be the biggest addition to date.
