No More Heroes is back, and Travis Touchdown has a few new tools in his arsenal that may be familiar to the most dedicated fans of the series. Travis hits harder than ever, and has more moves too. In this guide we're going over every aspect of Full Armor Mode that you need to know. Full Armor Mode is Travis' tokusatsu-style henshin transformation which sees him donning a huge, full set of armor, like a compact Gundam. It looks cool, and can utterly tear apart your enemies. There are three main uses for the Full Armor Mode in No More Heroes 3, and these uses will change how it controls. Standard Combat – Full Armor Mode
When you're in standard combat you can be rewarded with Full Armor Mode from the Slash Reel after destroying a foe. You can press L+R to activate Full Armor Mode, but when in a standard battle it is simplified heavily. Instead of being able to control Travis' armor, you'll instead lock onto all nearby enemies automatically and fire a heavy barrage which will likely kill most standard opponents.
This isn't as flashy as the other Full Armor Mode variations, but it's a nice inclusion that can make fights with multiple opponents far, far easier. All you need to do to shoot at enemies is press ZR once, and then the Full Armor Mode will conclude. Fine, but uninspiring.
Mech Combat – Full Green Mode
Full Green Mode doesn't come along often, but this is a full combat engagement with enemies on the ground, whilst in the Full Armor Mode suit. You'll only be using this for select engagements, but it makes for a fun twist on the usual fighting and slashing.
Travis will have two attacks in this mode that don't apply anywhere else, the Multi-Missile Attack, which is activated with L and ZL, and the Tiger Attack, which is found on the R button. 3D Flying Mech Combat – Bougainvillea Mode
The Bougainvillea mode is another unique mode that will only pop up during select battles – if you've already beaten Mr. Blackhole, the first boss, then you'll have already used this version of Full Armor Mode. In this mode moving will be much important – you can dash and boost with the L button, which can help you avoid attacks. You should move your cursor over weak points on the enemy, and then the suit will automatically lock on, and then you can press ZR to shoot a barrage of missiles to the target.
The other key attack Travis has access to in this mode is his Hyper Megadeath Particle Cannon. Big name, big attack. This is activated with ZL, and does huge amounts of damage with a large continuous laser. You need to aim this laser at the enemy weakpoint, so make sure they're not somehow defending it when you're about to hit that button.
