Genshin Impact: Fishing Locations

With the release of the Genshin Impact Version 2.1 Update, a robust fishing system has been added to the game. Throughout its first year of service, Genshin Impact has periodically added a number of side activities for players to enjoy in the world of Teyvat. This has included permanent additions such as a player housing system, as well as limited-time event activities like rhythm mini-games. The implementation of a fishing system gives Travelers new ways to earn rewards and improve their own personal in-game home. Intrepid fishers can use this guide to reference the various fishing locations in Genshin Impact.

There are a couple of prerequisites for unlocking the fishing system in Genshin Impact. First, the player must unlock the Serenitea Pot housing system. Then, the player must complete the Exploding Population world quest given by Katheryne in Mondstadt. This quest requires an Adventure Rank of 28 or higher, so new players will have some work to do before they can start fishing.

Fishing Locations In Genshin Impact

As of the release of the fishing system with Version 2.1, there are fishing locations in Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma. At these locations, Travelers can search for ripples in the water and start fishing using the appropriate Fishing Rod and Bait. Players should make sure to craft plenty of Bait at a crafting table before heading out on a fishing trip. It should be noted that fish will respawn at their location every 3 days.

Mondstadt Fishing Locations

Players will likely spend their first moments with a rod wrangling fish in Mondstadt. Some fish, like the Tea-Colored Shirakodai, are exclusive to this region just like some other Mondstadt local specialties.
