Genshin Impact 2.1 brings out a new Fishing feature. Finally, players can catch fish using fishing rods instead of blasting them with a little Pyro Elf. Fishing in Genshin Impact can be unlocked by finishing the "Exploding Population" quest, which can be started by talking to Katheryne in Mondstadt. Other than that, players also have to unlock the Serenitea Pot. The housing system is unlocked after finishing the "A Teapot to Call Home: Part I" quest. This quest requires players to be at least Adventure Rank 28.

There are various types of fishes players can collect. One of them is the Raimei Angelfish. Raimei Angelfish is highly sought after because they're required to obtain "The Catch," a brand new Polearm that's perfect for support characters like Xiangling and Raiden Shogun. This weapon can be bought by talking to Kujirai Momiji near Inazuma City.
Raimei Angelfish Location in Genshin Impact
Raimei Angelfish is only available in one fishing spot. Players can find it by going to the shipwreck east of Tatarasuna. The easiest way to go there is by teleporting to the eastern Teleport Point of the island, then hop on to the Waverider to reach the shipwreck.
There, players will find some enemies – two Large Cryo Slimes and one Electro Abyss Mage – they need to defeat before they can fish in peace. Keep in mind that the surrounding area is water, so fighting these enemies should be done with caution. Otherwise, the party can easily be Frozen or Electro-Charged.
How to Catch Raimei Angelfish in Genshin Impact
After clearing out the area, players can start fishing. Raimei Angelfish only come out at night, so players might have to adjust their in-game clock. The fish should spawn between 18:00-06:00.
Furthermore, Raimei Angelfish will only respond to False Worm bait. This bait is used for all the species of the Butterflyfish family.
How to get False Worm bait in Genshin Impact
If players do not have False Worm baits, then they can speak to Nantuck in Mondstadt. Nantuck sells the blueprints for the bait in exchange for three Medaka fishes. Afterward, the bait can be crafted by using one Slime Condensate + one Berry. Each craft will yield 10 baits.
Unlike Raimei Angelfish, Medaka responds to Fruit Paste bait. This is the first bait players use in the fishing quest. However, if players run out of it, they don't have to worry. The crafting recipe for this bait does not require blueprints from Nantuck. They will automatically be available and can be accessed via the Crafting Table.
Medaka is also a common fish, so it can be found in a lot of ripple spots. Getting the blueprint should be trivial.
"The Catch" requires six Raimei Angelfish to get. These fish will respawn after a few days, so players should try to get them as early as possible. Travelers can also fish in other people's worlds to stack the materials faster.
