MiHoYo has made a huge splash with Genshin Impact, with its gacha game mechanics and vibrant, Breath of the Wild inspired world breathing new life into the RPG sphere. The vast array of characters and consistent updates have given the game a lot of longevity for players, with the most recent update offering a bunch of new features, such as cross-saving between platforms, and most notably, a brand new island location called Inazuma. Some players have taken the setting oflatest addition to Genshin Impact as a challenge, managing to make their way across the vast ocean to the new area with an Adventure Rank as low as nine.

With the latest major update for Genshin Impact, players now have access to the isolationist city-state Inazuma, a cluster of islands presided over by the Electro Archon, Baal. Inazuma adds a number of different electro-themed mechanics to Genshin, such as Thunder Spheres that allow for fast movement across large distances, and environmental hazards in the form of a giant thunderous Sakura tree, as well as Balethunder, and Electro Water. It also includes new Domains, its own reputation system, and of course, a bunch of new characters.

Importantly, Inazuma is far from Genshin's other locations, as well as having a level requirement of Adventure Rank 30. As is the way with gamers though, many saw the distant island on their maps and immediately considered possible ways to skirt the level requirement and make their way to the new content in the most innovative ways possible. Reddit user Dezeadmf has managed to make it all the way from Liyue Harbor to the new location through a combination of frozen bridges and specifically timed disconnects.

This feat is impressive if only for the sheer amount of time they spent on the task, which apparently took "nearly 6/7 hours due to failures," likely due to the amount of timed disconnects required for the journey. Dezeadmf suggested that players wanting to replicate the task would need to one of Genshin Impact's icecharacters to freeze the water and make a bridge over the sea until they reach the large thunderstorm, then disconnect their internet, and swim for "10-15-20 seconds" before turning on the internet again. This would need to be repeated for the entirety of the journey, as the constant disconnecting and reconnecting causes the player's stamina to be refilled, effectively giving them an infinite pool to work with.

While others have managed to make it to Genshin Impact's latest area by using the ice bridge method already, Dezeadmf has managed to do it with a significantly lower Adventure Rank, meaning that their stamina levels are much lower, and their selection of characters is also limited. This is certainly impressive, and importantly, proves that Genshin Impact is truly open world, with an entirely interconnected environment for players to explore.

Genshin Impact is available for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version in development.
