Genshin Impact Version 2.0 Trailer
The event opened with the trailer for Version 2.0 "The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia," which you can view above. This includes a sneak preview of the new region, characters, and stories you'll see in the update on July 21.
Inazuma – The Nation Of Eternity
Inazuma is the third large-scale area to come to Teyvat and is a similar size to Mondstadt and Liyue. It's known as the Nation of Eternity and will contain a large number of new areas. It consists of six different islands in the sea, each unique but connected by the unity of being an Electro nation. It's ruled over by the first female Archon we've seen, the Electro Archon who is said to be pursuing Eternity.
Classed as an Archipelago, Inazuma is heavily influenced by the Electro element as well as the region's unique weather patterns. As you explore there are new environmental puzzles to complete and a range of NPCs to interact with. The region's story quests appear to be based around the idea of visions being confiscated and the conflicts this has led to.
New Characters And Banners In Genshin Impact Version 2.0
Inazuma is home to three new playable characters. Kamisato Ayaka is the first five-star to appear and will have her own banner. Yoimiya is the second five-star and will follow, with four-star Sayu appearing on the same banner. Here's what we know so far about these new characters.
Kamisato Ayaka
The first banner will contain the new 5-star character Kamisato, the daughter of the Yashiro Commission's Kamisato Clan. She is seen as strong and wise and is well respected among local residents.
- Vision: Cryo
- Weapon: Sword
- Affiliation: Yashiro Commission
- Constellation: Grus Nivis
Yoimiya
Yoimiya is a renowned pyrotechnician and owner of Naganohara Fireworks. She says that fireworks represent hopes and dreams and works hard to symbolize this when crafting them.
- Vision: Pyro
- Weapon: Bow
- Affiliation: Naganohara Fireworks
- Constellation: Carassius Auratus
Sayu
Sayu may be small but she's fierce. She is also very self-conscious about her height. After hearing that sleep helps you grow she began to sleep a lot and now always appears tired.
- Vision: Anemo
- Weapon: Claymore
- Affiliation: Shiyuumatsu-Ban
- Constellation: Nyctereutes Minor

New Weapons In Genshin Impact Version 2.0
There will be a new set of crafted weapons in the update. While there are currently no details regarding statistics we do know that there will be a bow, sword, polearm, claymore, and catalyst which can be seen in the image above.
We were also shown two new five-star weapons, a bow, and what is likely to be a sword, since these are the two weapons used by the brand new five-star characters.
Weapon Banner Pity System
All the weapons appear to be electro themed and you will now have a higher chance to gain the one you want, thanks to what appears to be a new weapon banner pity system. Details are still quite vague but it appears that this new mechanic will allow you to choose a weapon and if you don't receive it on your first five-star pull you'll be guaranteed it next time. This is similar to the current 50:50 system for banner characters which guarantees you the current banner character on your next five-star pull if you didn't get a banner character last time.
New Artifact Sets In Genshin Impact Version 2.0
There are two new artifact sets that are likely to be linked to new bosses in Inazuma. They are:
-
Emblem of Severed Fate
- 2-Piece Set: Energy Recharge +20%
- 4-Piece Set: Increases Elemental Burst DMG by 25% of Energy Recharge up to a maximum of 75% bonus DMG.
-
Shimenawa's Reminiscence
- 2-Piece Set: ATK +18%
- 4-Piece Set: When casting an Elemental Skill with 15 or more Energy, 15 Energy is lost and Normal Charged and Plunging Attack DMG is increased by 50% for 10 seconds.

- The Perpetual Mechanical Array – Which appears to be a shapeshifter related to the Ruin Guards.
We can also expect the return of Maguu Kenki, whom players encountered in the Golden Apple Archipelago, who returns as a World Boss.
Upcoming Events In Genshin Impact Version 2.0
With new updates come new special events. While details of these won't be available until closer to the time we do have some hints about what's coming up thanks to this events banner. Here's what we know so far:
- Thunder Sojourn – This appears to be a story-based event which will reward players with Beidou.
- Theatre Mechanicus: Stage of Wonders – This event returns from the Liyue lantern festival but is said to have a twist.
- Lost Riches – This event appears to reward mini seelie pets.
