Genshin Impact’s Teyvat Will Reveal Its Remaining Continents Over Four Years

Recently, during the GDC 2021 conference, miHoYo gave more information about what’s coming up for Genshin Impact. Thanks to a translation done by Siliconera, we now know that the plan is to have all seven continents in Teyvat implemented into the game within the next four years.

Currently, we only have three of the seven continents that are playable, which include Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma. Sumeru, Fontaine, Natlan, and Snezhnaya are the ones that will be added over the next four years, and we’re beyond excited to explore them.

In addition to letting us know that we will be getting all seven continents, it was also discussed during the panel how these places came to be in the first place. Though the concept for each of these places happened during early development, the developer explained that there were difficulties with figuring out the art style for the look of the world. According to Siliconera’s translation, the process for creating these environments “includes blending layers and using various rendering effects to create the stylized look achieved in Genshin Impact.”

In other Genshin Impact news, players have been trying to reach the new island, Inazuma, through using ice bridges. They’re doing this in an attempt to bypass the level restrictions to get to Inazuma, but miHoYo knew this ahead of time and has successfully blocked this from happening, much to the players’ dismay.
