Ghost of Tsushima: Guide to Unlocking the Common Courtesy Trophy

Many games that receive DLC nowadays also get a list of brand new trophies for players to collect. With Sucker Punch releasing the Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut, players can now grind out more achievements in the Iki Island DLC. This DLC adds an entirely new story for players to enjoy that comes with two trophy lists; story and exploration.

One of the harder trophies to obtain from the story is called Common Courtesy and it deals with discovering all of the hidden tales across Iki Island. There is a reason it calls these tales hidden. They are hard to find unless players know where to look.

A Proper Burial

The first of the hidden tales that players may come across on their journey across Iki island is near where players first arrive on the island. After a horrific shipwreck, Jin stumbles ashore to find his horse missing.

Players can follow the northern coast to the east to discover the remains of the ship scattered about on the beach. Among the wreckage, players will discover the remains of the ship's captain. Interacting with his remains will allow players to give him a proper burial with a pile of rocks and a flag.

Help The Beekeeper

On the western side of Iki Island, near the Shattered Cliffs and south of Old Gambler's Woods, players can discover a beekeeper. He has been having trouble with the Mongols upsetting his beekeeping. While Jin may say that he should simply move the bees, he can't.

As expected, the Mongols arrive on the scene and the beekeeper takes shelter while the player must fend off the Mongols. After the Mongols are taken care of, the beekeeper will be thankful and Jin's duty will be complete along with the unwritten tale.

Buddha's Footprints Rescue

Deep in the southern section of Iki Island is an area called Buddha's Footprints. Within this area, players can find a smaller lake that is un in a more elevated area and surrounded by a ring of rocks. In this location, there is a group of Mongols that are trying to drown a group of peasants.

Rescue the peasants by taking out the Mongols and players will be rewarded with a short cutscene that is proof of them completing the tale.

Heal The Land

In the center of Iki Island, east of Lake Nagata and north of Senjo Gorge, players will discover a burned house in the forest. Players who approach the house will notice a flag that they can interact with. This will start a short cutscene where Kodama talks to Jin. It turns out that Jin's father burned down this house years ago.

Players must now help Kodama. Follow her until a drumbeat starts to play. There are Mongols nearby. Take care of the Mongols and Kodama will begin to laugh. Head back to the house to finish the tale and collect the items that Kodama has left behind.

Raider Memorial Archery Challenge

While there are plenty of Archery Challenges for players to complete across Iki Island, only one of them won't appear on the map. Players can easily use the Wind of Concentration from the map menu to track this Archery Challenge down, but players who want a more direct approach will be able to find it in the south of Iki Island.

Below Buddha's Footprints, down by the coast, players will be able to find a memorial to fallen raiders. In this location, players will need to interact with the raider next to the bow stand. He will mention Tadayori. At this time, players need to change into Tadayori's Armor and talk to the raider again. This will start up the Archery Challenge. Now, simply beat the challenge with a time less than 22 seconds to complete the challenge and the tale.

Tell The Legend of The Fire Spirits

On the east side of Iki island, just past Yahata Forest, players can discover the location of the last unwritten tale. This unwritten tale deals with the Ghost of Tsushima legends mode. Legends mode is the multiplayer portion of the game that has its own storyline. To finish this tale, players will need to come here after they have completed all the story missions in legends mode.

Slightly north of Zasho Bay, players will discover a house. Inside this house is a woman who wants to hear the end of the Legend of the Fire Spirits tale told by Gyozen (the same Gyozen from legends mode). Players should avoid talking to her before completing the legends mode story because they won't be able to talk to her a second time. After completing this tale and all the others, players will unlock the Common Courtesy trophy.
