GTA Online Players Can Claim $1 Million In August And September Via PS Plus

Free money is always a good thing. While not many people are going to offer you a million dollars in real life, Sony has decided to give it to any GTA Online player with a PS Plus subscription. Subscribers can claim $1,000,000 this month and the next to purchase weapons, cars, or whatever else you may need to raise hell. You can claim it here.

This seems to be an interesting strategy by Sony to try and get more PS Plus subscriptions from the GTA Online player base. Considering this month and the next, that’s a total of $2 million in GTA Online money. Buying the exact amount via four Bull Shark Cards of $500,000 GTAO money each will cost you $39.96, while a three month PlayStation Plus subscription will cost $24.99.

The math isn’t too hard. If you’re a GTA Online player and don’t have a PS Plus subscription, getting a three-monthly subscription makes more sense than shelling out $39.96 to get that in-game money. It’s cheaper, and you get added benefits like free games and store discounts. I see what you did there Sony!

GTA Online is buzzing more than usual right now thanks to its latest major update, Los Santos Tuners. The update includes 17 new cars including the Annis Remus, Dinka RT3000, and the Vapid Dominator GTT being added over the summer. The LS Car Meet features a warehouse in which as many as 30 players can meet up and show off their rides. There, you will be able to mod your cars in real-time along with everyone else.

It seems to be pretty popular too. GTA Online saw more players join the game for this update than any other one ever put out, including the Cayo Perico Heist update. “A huge thank you to our amazing GTA Online community — we're extremely humbled to share that more players joined GTA Online for the launch of Los Santos Tuners than any update ever!” tweeted Rockstar Games.

And they’re definitely having fun with the LS Car Meet feature. One group of players decided to recreate a Mario Kart race in GTA Online.
