Halo Infinite – Holiday 2021 Date on Amazon is a Mistake

343 Industries’ Halo Infinite was supposed to lead the charge for the Xbox Series X this November before being delayed into 2021. While the development team didn’t specify when next year it would release, reports have emerged of troubled development (of which some parts were denied). Regardless, Amazon listed the game as coming in holiday 2021.

This was seen on its dedicated Xbox Series X page where it stated “Coming Holiday 2021.” The Verge’s Tom Warren, known for leaking details on the yet-to-be-revealed Xbox Series S, noted that this “is an Amazon listing mistake.” Sure enough, the page would be amended to simply state that it’s releasing next year.

If nothing else, this at least indicates that we won’t have to wait till next year’s holiday season for the shooter. Amid rumors of 343 Industries dropping the Xbox One version and focusing primarily on next-gen, this is probably a good thing. Otherwise, Halo Infinite is still slated for the Xbox One along with Xbox Series X and PC.
