Halo Infinite Is Releasing December 8

After receiving a huge spotlight at E3 2021, Microsoft and 343 Industries have provided another glimpse at Halo Infinite during Gamescom Opening Night Live.

More specifically, we now finally have a release date for Master Chief’s upcoming adventure. As many of us expected, it will be launching on December 8 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It will also be coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one as an Xbox Play Anywhere title, so your progress will carry over between platforms with no issues.

343 Industries has been focused entirely on the multiplayer aspect of Halo Infinite in recent months with its online reveal trailer and successful technical test, and there will be more of those to come ahead of release with additional modes, maps and features for players to test out.

Today's presentation built upon that, showing us a cinematic trailer for Halo Infinite's opening season with some of the characters and locations we can expect to encounter in the full game this December. Sadly there was still no sign of the campaign, so fingers crossed more of that surfaces in the coming months ahead of release.

In addition to the release date, Microsoft also unveiled a limited edition Xbox Series X console launching on November 15 ahead of Halo Infinite. It looks gorgeous, and will be complimented by an Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 featuring the colour scheme and design motifs of Master Chief.
