Know Your Weapons
In the late hours of the night, Halo Infinite’s technical preview went live and content creators (including your friends at COGconnected) scrambled to play and capture some videos.
We tried out the Weapon Drills, where players can get to know all the weapons at their disposal.
The Weapon Drills have a 45-second timer, where the player uses a specific weapon to take down as many stationary and moving targets as they can. If you have played the previous Halo games but did not manage to sign up for the technical preview, you will recognize some classic guns and some brand new ones.
In this video, we show off the Assault Rifle, Pulse Carbine, Battle Rifle, Commando, Sidekick, Plasma Pistol, Bulldog, Heatwave, Needler, Sniper Rifle, Skewer, Ravager, and Rocket Launcher. The returning weapons have all new sound design, which you may or may not enjoy, but they all seem to have a tighter spread of fire. Even automatic weapons like the Assault Rifle.
We also checked out the multiplayer, where we took on some low-level bots to get the feel of the game. The games are 3v3 matches with AI teammates and enemies on the map Live Fire.
In these matches, the first team to hit 50 kills wins. You can see the default weapons and the ones scattered across the map in use to take the victory.
All our gameplay was captured on PC. The Halo Infinite technical preview is live right now. Halo Infinite is expected to launch this year.
