Halo Infinite’s Battle Pass Will Be Progressed Through Challenges, Not XP

We are rapidly approaching one of the most anticipated game launches of the year. It seems that with each passing day, we continue to learn new information about Halo Infinite. Recently, more information about Battle Pass was shared on Twitter, courtesy of 343 Industries’ Community Manager for Halo, John Junyszek. In a response Tweet, Junyszek shared the following:

Hey Nick – playing and winning matches will be challenges, which will help players progress through the Battle Pass. Even though this means no per-match XP at launch, you're still always progressing through challenges and therefore the BP. We'll update the blog to clarify.

The natural response from fans was to become concerned with what would happen when they ran out of challenges to complete, but Junyszek covered this as well. In another Tweet, he explained the following:

The Tech Preview had an issue that caused people to run out of challenges. Our current plans for launch, while not "infinite," mean it's extremely difficult to run out daily challenges. I won't say "impossible," cause there are some grinders out there, but I'd be impressed.

It should also be noted that Junyszek did say "at launch," so it's possible the progression will change over time, though nothing has been confirmed.

If you’re itching to hear more details about the Tech Preview, 343 Industries has shared numerous details about the whole process in a recent blog post. The post includes a conversation with people that introduced us to the Tech Preview during the overview stream, the Multiplayer Team discussing their goals when designing Halo Infinite, and the Bots Team’s process.

In other Halo Infinite news, the system requirements for the game have also recently been revealed. You can check out the full requirements to run Halo Infinite here, but in short, it looks like players are going to need a decent gaming PC to play this next installment. It’s worth noting that you do not need an elusive graphics card from Nvidia's 30 series, but the minimum specs need at least a Nvidia 1050 TI graphics card.
