Halo’s Warthog Steals The Show At The Free Guy Premiere

Halo brought a real-life Warthog to the Free Guy world premiere and some of the cast have posed with it as seen on the game's official Twitter.

Popular streamer Ninja and Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds can be seen with the Warthog and no, I don't mean Danny Devito's character in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia – I mean the iconic Halo vehicle. Ryan Reynolds' Hog in this case doesn't have a turret but I'm sure it can still fire off a few shots.

Reynolds' latest film, Free Guy, comes out in only a week on August 10. It's a movie all about a video game NPC that becomes self-aware in a GTA 5 like setting where players unleash mayhem across the city for the sake of mayhem, abusing hapless bystanders under the assumption that they are mindless drones.

For those who are unaware, New Mombasa is a port city in South Kenya. At least, in Halo. It gets attacked by the Covenant during the Battle of Earth. The Warthog in this case is on the red carpet for a film premiere. Slightly different.

However, the tweet also says that it is "ready for action" in the case that it is "cruising the highways of Free City" which has led plenty to assume that it is in the movie – it very well might be.

While you probably won't see a real-life Warthog yourself any time soon, Halo is currently enlisting more participants for its next Infinite beta. Meanwhile, Free Guy will be launching exclusively in theaters.
