Harry Potter Wizards Unite players have another exciting month of events in front of them not that September 2020 has arrived. There will be the usual lineup of Brilliant Events, Wizarding Weekend, and Community Day that players have become accustomed to, but things are arriving in a slightly different order this month. That means it is time to get ready for the September 2020 Wizarding Weekend a bit faster than witches and wizards would usually be doing.
As has been the case in past months, Niantic is keeping its play-at-home features in place so players can expect the usual bonuses that have become the norm since April. Extended length of events, additional spawn, and fewer tasks that would rely on playing in-person with other players are the new normal and that continues to be true for this Wizarding Weekend. As players prepare to set out on the event come September 4, they may want to take an early look at what tasks and rewards Harry Potter: Wizards Unite has in store for them.

Although the event doesn’t kick off until Friday, players can already find out what tasks and rewards are coming their way thanks to some dedicated Harry Potter fans and dataminers. This particular event puts the spotlight on the Magizoology Family and includes some pretty exciting featured spawns that players should get excited about. Most notably is probably Newt Scamander, but the Branch of Bowtruckles and Unicorn are also exciting opportunities for fans of the mobile AR game.

Although it appears that there are no Defense Against the Dark Arts books up for grabs this time around, the list of rewards is still fairly strong and it will be worth it for most dedicated players to login during the event and power through the tasks. Most of the objectives are very easy to complete, so it shouldn’t be very difficult at all for the average player to earn the overall rewards if they play the event for a few hours throughout the weekend. Some hardcore players have noted that the event in general isn’t very exciting because of its similarity to a few past events, but the average player should still get plenty out of if, despite the overlap from previous Community Days and other Magizoology Family-themed events.
