Here’s Your New Look At The Witcher: Nightmare Of The Wolf From Netflix

Netflix will expand its Witcher library soon with its animated series, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, on August 23. Ahead of the big day, the streaming service has released a new look at Vesemir and his journey.

Earlier this month, as we celebrated CDPR's WitcherCon, Netflix debuted its first trailer for the Nightmare of the Wolf. The story will follow Vesemir, a character who was notably absent from the first season of the live-action Netflix production. However, it looks like we'll be getting a younger version of the character and a vision of Vesemir you aren't quite used to.

Today's trailer isn't too much longer than the first that dropped earlier this month, but it still has plenty of new shots, including one where Vesemir is chilling in a bathtub because that joke will never die. (It's around the 14-second mark – don't blink your you'll miss it). He's also got a couple of new friends it seems, including a young woman with long black hair that we aren't familiar with just yet.

The first season of the new animated series will begin next month, but that isn't the only Witcher-related content Netflix has in the pipeline. WitcherCon 2021 was a promise of more television series to come, and Netflix shared its new trailer for season two of the live-action show after nearly a year of silence. It's also out in December of this year, so there's not too bad of a wait between your Witcher shows this year.

WitcherCon wasn't just for the animated series, either. CDPR also revealed a brand new manga, The Witcher Ronin, featuring Geralt once again, but this time he's a master of yokai extermination. And even though The Witcher 3 is a bit older now, CDPR announced the game would see a new Netflix-inspired DLC, and it's free on all consoles.
