There were many exciting announcements at the most recent PlayStation Showcase, specifically during the last 10 minutes. But the event began with an ad that was filled with references, and fans may have found one such tease that hints at a collaboration between Fall Guys and Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn.
Such collaborations are not unusual, as Fall Guys had recently added costumes from the Ratchet & Clank series for a limited time. This event required fans to collect 3200 points through various challenges, which then unlocked a full Ratchet costume. A second event allowed fans to unlock a full Clank costume by acquiring an additional 3200 points. Unfortunately, players could only unlock a banner of Rivet, the new character introduced in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. It is fair to expect a similar sort of a mashup for the teased Horizon Zero Dawn event.

This news comes from Reddit, where a user posted the below screenshot. There seem to be a few posters in the bottom left corner of the screen that subtly tease this new collaboration. The image is not exactly crystal clear, but it is indeed depicting a Fall Guys character in an Aloy costume. While there is no official announcement of this partnership, fans can expect Aloy to be available as another limited-time event. Naturally, it is possible that this tease does not lead anywhere, but its fair to assume that Aloy will be added to Fall Guys in some form.

These alloy posters are easy to miss as many eyes will probably be focused on Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer from the Uncharted series. Their existence in the trailer was actually used to set up the announcement of Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy coming to PS5 and PC, which was revealed later during the show. The Uncharted games join Days Gone and Horizon Zero Dawn as games developed by PlayStation Studios on PC, and this further proves Sony’s interest in putting older titles on the platform in order to make them accessible to a wider audience.
Sony has been taking part in many such events as a way to promote Aloy and Horizon Forbidden West which launches next February on PS4 and PS5. Aloy was added to Fortnite earlier this year, and she was also given out as a free 5-star character in Genshin Impact. Fans can expect further collaborations as Sony gears up the marketing for the next entry in one of their biggest first party franchises.
Fall Guys is out now on PC and PlayStation 4, with Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S versions coming later this year.
