House Of Ashes PS5 File Size Reportedly Revealed

Another day, another PS5 game file size leak. This time, almost two months prior to launch, we learned that the upcoming House of Ashes horror title from The Dark Pictures Anthology will take about 30 GB on the console.

The information appeared on the Twitter account for PlayStation Game Size, which keeps track of the files added to the PlayStation database. According to the source, the next chapter of the horror series from Supermassive Games will take slightly above 30 GB on the PS5 without the day one patch. It’s a safe bet that House of Ashes will get one, which most likely will add some extra figures to that number.

We can probably expect the game’s size to be in a similar range on other consoles. However, it’s possible the final file size will vary significantly across different platforms. For comparison, the previous entry The Dark Pictures: Little Hope amounted from 33 GB on last-gen consoles to 80 GB on PC, which is a huge gap.

In addition, from the recent leak, we learned that the pre-load for House of Ashes will start two days prior to the official launch, on October 20. With such a moderate size at least on PS5, you probably won’t have any problems quickly downloading the game to your console and begin playing right when you’re allowed.

The events of the upcoming interactive horror will occur in 2003 at the tail-end of the Iraq War, when Special Forces unearth a buried Sumerian temple housing all sorts of ancient dangers — including underworld demon known as Pazuzu. While there’s still a huge possibility that humans will be real monsters in the game’s story, for now, House of Ashes gives the impression of having a real supernatural mystery behind it. For the most dedicated fans, Bandai Namco has even shared some hidden lore for the House of Ashes military setting via an ARG-style website.

The third entry from the episodic series, The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes will arrive on October 22 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
