You periodically revisit the village after almost every area while progressively unlocking new parts of it. Heisenberg's Factory is essentially the point of no return, so make sure you have scoured the area and collected every secret before continuing.
Does Resident Evil Village Have New Game Plus?
The eighth mainline entry does indeed have a new game plus feature and you keep almost everything you earn. You can also play different difficulty modes while keeping all the items and upgrades earned on prior playthroughs.

Can You Speedrun Resident Evil Village?
