Figments in Fatherland Follies

Unfortunately, figments are incredibly hard to keep track of in Psychonauts 2, as they’re essentially the game’s version of coins or rings, with some levels having more than 200 of them. Psychonauts 2 also won’t tell you where you’ve found items after you’ve picked them up, so Figments can be very hard to clear if you don’t know where you’re looking. Thankfully, each level does have a figment list you can access at any time. It won’t tell you where the figments are, but it might point you to where in the world you’re missing a few collectibles based on the design. Here’s the full list for Fatherland Follies.

Emotional Baggage In Fatherland Follies

Emotional baggage are arguably the biggest collectible in Psychonauts 2. There are five different types you can find in each level, although not every level will have all of them. You’ll be able to spot Emotional Baggage as you’ll hear them crying and Raz will often comment that there’s one nearby. To collect the baggage, you’ll also need to find the tag elsewhere in the level.

Steamer Trunk

Tag:

The Steamer Trunk can be found after the Whispering Rock section of the ride. Fight off the crowd and find yourself in a weird room of fans and Mental Connections. Follow those Mental Connections until you run into a memory of Loboto. The tag will be with them.

Baggage:

The Steamer Trunk can be found after the Whispering Rock section of the ride. Fight off the crowd and find yourself in a weird room of fans and Mental Connections. Follow those Mental Connections and take the first one on the right that you can. You'll find the Steamer Trunk there.

Purse

Tag:

You can find the Purse tag in the second part of the ride. When you get to the point where you can change a mural around, make it an ice-themed one and jump through the hole. The Purse Tag will be there.

Baggage:

The Purse can be found in the second part of the ride, near a character's bed. It's on the left-hand side of the bed.

Dufflebag

Tag:

The Dufflebag Tag can be found in a small red tower near where the ride stops for the first time. Look behind you when you jump out of the cart and open the door directly behind Raz. Go in here and use Mental Connection to reach the tag.

Baggage:

The Dufflebag can be found in the first section of the ride. Go to the section where the family are running away and jump behind them. In the background of the scene is the Dufflebag.

Hatbox

Tag:

You can find the Hatbox Tag in the first area of the ride. Go to the scene of the family waving, and you can actually go past the clouds, where you'll find trampolines. Use these trampolines to get to the top of the ride, where the Hatbox Tag is.

Baggage:

To get the Hatbox, go to the statue of Ford and Maligula in the first part of the ride. By Maligula's feet is a secret room. Follow the track in and complete the platforming challenge using Time Bubble. The Hatbox will be waiting at the end.

Suitcase

Tag:

The Suitcase Tag can be found behind a grave in the second part of the ride.

Baggage:

The Suitcase can be found in the gift shop at the end of the level. You'll have to revisit to grab it though.

Memory Vaults In Fatherland Follies

Memory Vaults return from the first Psychonauts and once again offer extra insight into the character whose mind you’re in. Once you find a Memory Vault, you’ll need to break it open by hitting it.

Memory Vault 1

You'll find the first Memory Vault near the statue of Ford and Maligula during the first part of the ride. Near Maligula's feet is a track. Follow it to find the first Memory Vault.

Memory Vault 2

You can find the second Memory Vault in the Whispering Rock section of the level. Go into one of the smaller cabins and follow the path. You'll find the Memory Vault in the middle, and a Nugget of Wisdom at the end. Both cabins link to one another so it doesn't matter which you choose.

Half-A-Minds In Fatherland Follies

Half-A-Minds are a new collectible in Psychonauts 2. As the name suggests, they are one mind split into two, and finding two separate pieces will give you one extra brain’s worth of health.

Half-A-Mind 1

In the first part of the ride that resembles It's a Small World, go to the water wheel. Behind it is the first Half-A-Mind.

Half-A-Mind 2

You can find the second Half-A-Mind in the next section of the ride, which lets you shift elements of a ride around. Make it so the ride is showing the desert, with a cactus, and move the family to the middle. From there you'll be able to jump into a hole that leads into the second Half-A-Mind.

Nuggets Of Wisdom In Fatherland Follies

Nuggets of Wisdom are another new collectible in Psychonauts 2. Each level has a different design for them, but you’ll be able to find them by their golden glow. Collecting one will instantly increase your rank by one point.

Nugget Of Wisdom 1

You can find the first Nugget of Wisdom in the second part of the ride, which will task you with finding an egg. You'll find the Nugget of Wisdom next to the Propagandeer near the egg cup room.

Nugget Of Wisdom 2

You can find the second Nugget of Wisdom in the Lady Lucktopus room later into the level, before getting the egg. Like you did when you visited the room in the real world, burn the poster down and follow the path to the Nugget.

Nugget Of Wisdom 3

The third and final Nugget of Wisdom can be found in the Whispering Rock section of the level. You'll find it in one of the cabin rooms. You'll also be able to find the second Memory Vault here.
