Hyperkin celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Xbox Classic with a refresh of Duke

Duke, the iconic classic Xbox controller, has returned in a big way and is now compatible with the Xbox Series X|S.

Duke is without a doubt one of the most recognizable video game characters, designed with American video game players in mind because of his “big hands,” and then reduced in size to appeal to Japanese audiences.

With numerous admirers, the classic Xbox controller has been a favorite of many, but not all. And if you’re among the people who preferred the giant switch, you’ll be pleased to know that another Hyperkin edition is on the way, this time with the Xbox Series X|S in mind.

Duke is back for the 20th anniversary.

The 20th anniversary of the first Xbox system presented Hyperkin with an excellent chance to reintroduce this iconic controller, this time with a redesign that keeps the original’s aesthetic but adds a capture button in the middle.

The names of the ‘Back’ and ‘Start’ buttons have plainly been converted to the visual style that was developed from the Xbox One controller, as well as a USB Type C adapter that is standard and compatible not only with the Xbox Series, but also with PC and Xbox One.

In the fourth quarter of 2021, this controller will be offered in two colors: white and black. A redesign of the previous Hyperkin Xbox One Duke that improves many aspects, making this new Duke the most similar to the original, despite the obvious difference in the center buttons, and the Xbox logo will be animated following the cinematic launch of this Xbox console through a small LCD screen.
