Hyperkin Reveals Duke Xbox 20th Anniversary Edition Controller

Hyperkin is bringing back the Duke controller for Xbox's 20th anniversary. The classic controller doesn’t look too different from its previous rendition, except for a bit of fine tuning. You’ll be able to get your hands on it in Q4 of this year for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10.

According to the few details we’ve been given by Hyperkin’s tweet, the Duke Xbox 20th Anniversary Edition will come in white and black variants and feature a share button. Additionally, it will come with a detachable Type-C cable and the Xbox startup animation will play right inside the Xbox Button.

August has seen quite a few controller launches. Only last week, Xbox’s best looking controller went on sale. The Aqua Shift controller came in a metallic blue and truly looks like a piece of art. It costs $69.99 on the Xbox store and will probably sell out very soon.

Before that, Xbox and Target collaborated to bring you a rather awkward pair of controller holders for Halo’s 20th anniversary. One featured Cortana looking like she’d rather be anywhere else in the world, and the other was Master Chief positioned in an odd semi squat. The pair of holders are up for pre-order for $49.99 and will launch on November 7.

PowerA revealed a neat looking Hades themed Switch controller. It features a red base and Zagreus on the bottom right with his sword. Emblems of the Gods’ boons are strewn all over the controller with Hades’ emblem in the centre, slightly larger than the rest. It's officially licensed and can be played both wired and wireless via Bluetooth. When not plugged in, it allegedly has a battery life of 30 hours but, if it begins to wane, you'll know by way of a warning LED light. It also comes with a USB-C charge cable as part of the purchase.

Lastly, Xbox's night mode update not only dims the console and the UI, but also the controller light. A blue light filter also has a sliding scale to take out as much blue light as you'll allow before everything turns into a shade of yellow.
