As is natural for many video games, Cyberpunk 2077 is filled to the brim with Easter eggs. These include references to Breaking Bad, Batman, Death Stranding and Hideo Kojima, Fallout, Grand Theft Auto, Keanu’s breathtaking moment at E3, and naturally, The Witcher 3. With both games coming from CD Projekt Red, it’s only natural that a couple appear throughout Cyberpunk 2077.
For example, players can find a retro gaming magazine that has a picture of Ciri on it, a Roach Race arcade game, the Wolf School Jacket, and a Barn Swallow (in an ending). Another one that stands out is how many Cyberpunk 2077 NPCs play a song from The Witcher 3 on their guitar, but one NPC stands out from the others.

For those with a good ear, they may recognize the tune of The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine’s “Beast of Beauclair” being played around the city. Basically, any and every NPC in Night City only knows this one song. It plays during the battle against The Witcher 3’s Detlaff when he is in vampire form; the song changes when he takes on his monstrous form. Of course, for those without a good ear or who haven’t played The Witcher 3 in a while, it’s easily missable.
Anyone ever notice that the person playing the guitar at the Aldecaldos is playing a song from The Witcher 3? Idk what song it is but I'm 100% sure I've heard it in the Blood and Wine DLC from

However, as pointed out by Redditor NeuroTechno94, there is also an NPC in the Aldecados camp who plays this song. It’s an even easier one to miss, as depending on how much players invest in Panam’s story, they may only visit the camp once or twice. Going multiple times doesn’t guarantee the NPC will be playing the song even. It doesn’t add much more to the premise of the song being in Cyberpunk 2077, as it remains as a simple Witcher 3 Easter egg, but it does show that this song—however it “exists” in-universe—isn’t just limited to the streets of Night City.
Chances are, as music is so important to many figures in Cyberpunk 2077, there is some band who played it at some point. It doesn’t seem to be Johnny Silverhand’s Samurai, but perhaps it could be. On the other end of the spectrum, since the retro gaming mag shows Ciri, perhaps The Witcher 3 video game exists in Cyberpunk 2077. It would be interesting if it was just popular in the world because of the game. The most likely scenario, though, is that it is just an Easter egg, and it doesn’t really need more explanation than that.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. PS5 and Xbox Series X enhancements are in the works.
