JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Trailer Revealed, Will Come To Netflix In December

The first trailer of Part 6 of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean anime dropped today. The next part of the anime will be based in Florida in 2011 and focus on Jolene Cujoh, the daughter of Jotaro Cujo. It will come to Netflix this December.

Jolene has been sentenced to serve 15 years in Green Dolphin Street Jail, a maximum security prison, for a crime she did not commit. However after her father, the one and only Jotaro Cujo, figures out that she was actually framed by a disciple of Dio, he helps break her out. As with all things JoJo, things turn bizarre very quickly when Jolene discovers that she’s a Stand user.

Jolene will be voiced by Ai Fairouz. You may recognize her voice as Phina from Fire Emblem Heroes and Fiorito from Granblue Fantasy. Other cast members include Mutsumi Tamura as Ermes Costello, Mariya Ise as F.F., Atsumi Tanezaki as Emporio Alnino, Yuichiro Umehara as Weather Forecast, Daisuke Namikawa as Narciso Anastasia, and Daisuke Ono returning as Jotaro Kujo.

The trailer gave us our first look at Jolene’s Stand, Stone Free. It is extremely versatile, as it unravels her body into a sting which she can use in a number of ways. In string form, she can spy on people, slip through cracks, camouflage into fiber, and a number of other things. However, if she needs some power, she can gather up the string to form Stone Free’s physical manifestation and pile on the “Ora’s”.

The anime was announced earlier in April this year via a short teaser and the casting of Ai Fairouz as Jolene. There were rumours going around of "biggest event in the franchise's history" on various JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure forums, and it’s safe to say that fans are extremely pleased with the eventual outcome. Additionally, the fact that it will come to Netflix in December is a big plus for Western fans.

Stone Ocean is the last season of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure that takes place in the “traditional” universe. The next two parts, Steelball Run and JoJolion, take place in an alternate universe, with characters and stands being crossed over with one another to create a mixed bag of the JoJo universe we’ve seen so far.
