King’s Bounty 2: Where To Find Finesse Ideal Units

Quick Links

From the start of the game, King's Bounty 2 will tell the player the importance of sticking with a certain Ideal, including when deciding on units to use in battle, however, there isn't a great variety to initially choose from. Players will have no choice but to make do with the Order Ideal units given by NPCs in Fort Crucis, the prison where the player begins their adventures.

While some Anarchy Ideal units are available, they are rarer to come by, and Power Ideal troops persist in the beginning area of the game, the Albian Highlands, with only a single available unit. Though, those interested in raising an army of Finesse Ideal units are the worst off in that there are none to be recruited in the Albian Highlands whatsoever.

Thankfully, this gets somewhat alleviated as the player enters the next area, the Crown Lands, as there are a couple of powerful Finesse units that can greatly bolster any force.

Where To Recruit Finesse Ideal Units In The Crown Lands

Finesse Ideal Recruiter Merchant Location

South of the king's castle in the Crown Lands, shortly before the city's southern exit, players will come across a small market square with a few merchants as well as near to the place one will find the Conspirator's House for one of the main quest's objectives.

In this square within the southern part of the city, players will find Curt, who is the only recruiter merchant within the city's limits that sells Finesse Ideal units. When players trade with him, they will behold two exceptionally powerful Finesse units (and a couple of strong Order Ideal ones) that, in addition to being the perfect start for one's Finesse legion, can be great boons to any other kind of army formation (except for one featuring Power Ideal units, as the severe lack of compatibility between them can cause major issues).

Wind Spirits – Finesse Ideal Unit

The first of the Finesse Ideal units to be found are the Wind Spirits, a Magical Creature type of troop with significantly higher base stats than most other melee allies. Their damage output, defenses, and HP all outclass most other units, however, the drawback is that the Wind Spirits require much more Leadership to recruit.

Players should also note that they also start off only being able to form squads with a single troop as opposed to a unit consisting of multiple individuals. As the unit gets injured, they won't lose power from a decreasing troop size, and they can be healed more effectively as a result. Wind Spirits, being capable of slight flight, can also ignore minor differences in battlefield terrain, making them even more useful in rugged landscapes. Their magical damage from basic attacks will be exceptionally helpful when going up against physically fortified foes.

Stone Elementals – Finesse Ideal Unit

Similar to the Wind Spirits, the Stone Elementals have excellent stats, though these rocky fellows are even more impressive than their airy Magical Creature counterparts with notably higher HP and damage potential. Possessing the trait Combat Master while also being capable of ranged attacks makes the Stone Elementals by far the most powerful ranged unit acquirable at this point in the game, though, they are also the unit that requires the most Leadership to recruit.

Players can basically use their Stone Elementals as living pieces of artillery that one can plant on their back lines to pummel enemy units with no repercussion. Furthermore, if push comes to shove, Stone Elementals can also be used as incredible melee units thanks to their natural resilience, though, keep them away from enemies that deal magic-based damage, as this is their only true weakness.
