LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Confirmed for Nintendo Switch

Lego Marvel Super Heroes Release Date

Though many LEGO video game players have been clamoring for the release of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Marvel fans have continued to look forward to when their favorite LEGO superhero title will finally be playable on the Nintendo Switch. Now, Marvel Games just came out with an announcement that LEGO Marvel Super Heroes will be coming to the Nintendo console in October of 2021.

Though it has been close to eight years since it was launched in the market, the title made a bit of online noise when LEGO Marvel Super Heroes received an ESRB rating back in January 2021. The rating confirmed that the game will make its way to the Nintendo Switch, though no details were shared about its pending release date. The ESRB rating, however, provided information stating that the game has retained its family-friendly rating of E for Everyone (10+). Likely originally meant for a younger audience, many players of the title still look forward to maneuvering the game's various missions as the LEGO versions of their chosen Marvel superheroes.

On the official Marvel Games Twitter account, the development team seems to have confirmed the Nintendo Switch release date of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes without much fanfare. According to the post, the title will be available on the console on October 5, 2021. The team also name dropped several popular Marvel superheroes such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Captain America. All of which have been made famous by their appearances in the Marvel cinematic universe. The post also specifically mentioned X-Man Wolverine, likely reminding fans that the X-Men and other Marvel characters can be spotted in and played as in this game.

Replies on the Twitter thread showed that some fans have been wanting to play LEGO Marvel Super Heroes since they were kids, and this may be their chance to finally finish the title. However, some comments showed that others are more interested in a third LEGO Marvel game, specifically focusing on the Avengers or the Infinity War saga. However with the developers likely focused on The Skywalker Saga, it may be quite a bit of time before another title will be added to the LEGO superhero series.

With a few months left until October, interested players only have to wait a bit longer until they can get their hands on LEGO Marvel Super Heroes for their Switch. Hopefully, the port lives up to the expectations of players who were able to finish the game before and if ever, bring a fresh round of players into the LEGO video game universe as new fans.
