Waiting for a True Release Date

You ever hear of a One-Two Punch? The phrase originates from when Square Enix delivers two pieces of upsetting or bad news back-to-back. It’s true, that’s where it comes from. Today, we got an original One-Two Punch regarding Life Is Strange.

Yesterday, Square Enix broke the bad news about Life Is Strange: Remastered Collection. The Arcadia Bay saga will be re-released sometime in early 2022, to give the development team a bit of a well deserved break between the release of True Colors and the Remastered Collection.

Early this morning, Square Enix gave us an “Oh, and one more thing…” for Nintendo Switch owners. The release date for True Colors is set for September 10th, but it appears that the Nintendo Switch version will not quite make that deadline. It will be pushed back to an undetermined date.

It is unclear why the Nintendo Switch version is singled out for the delay, but rest assured that if you are planning to get it on the Switch, you will be playing it by the end of 2021. Square Enix will be announcing a new release date in the coming weeks.

Additionally, Life is Strange: True Colors for Nintendo Switch is running a little late.

We won’t be quite ready to release on September 10 – but we still plan to release this year.
