Marvel’s Avengers Releases Free Anniversary Bundle

Much to fans' excitement, new content seems to be pouring into Marvel's Avengers as of late. Marvel's Avengers had its one-year anniversary since launch yesterday, capping a year of post-launch content that included three new DLC characters and other in-game events.

Marvel's Avengers' latest content drop, the War for Wakanda DLC expansion, brought with it a new hero in Black Panther, new enemies in the Klaue faction, and a new biome in the Wakandan Jungle and Mines. A new UI overhaul was also implemented alongside the War for Wakanda expansion that has been described as the first in a line of planned feature changes that will apply to menu screens and stat tabs for each character. Marvel's Avengers is now celebrating its first anniversary with its community of players, and has gifted players a special bundle for a limited time.

In Marvel's Avengers' free anniversary bundle, players can receive Iron Man's Iron Alloy Outfit, Black Panther Nameplate #10, two two-hour Hero's Catalysts and two two-hour Fragment Extractors. The Iron Alloy cosmetic bears a red, white, and blue color palette atop what looks like Tony Stark's bulkier Iron Will armor. Hero's Catalysts increase the number of experience points players earn toward upgrading particular gear pieces for a period of time. Similarly, Fragment Extractors increase the number of Fragments players earn.

There is also mention of a Legendary Nameplate that players can earn for completing the narrative Reassemble campaign, all Operations missions, and having "at least one Hero at Level 50 before September 16." Fans agree that these prerequisites are strictly rigid when the reward is simply a Nameplate, and many fans have ran into bugs that have thwarted them from receiving it at all.

Nonetheless, with exciting content detailed in Marvel's Avengers' roadmap and a year's worth of events and rewards that players have experienced, this bundle seems like a celebratory cherry on top that does not need to compete with the significant content that has just launched for the game. Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have also been hurriedly adding fan-requested, MCU-inspired skins to Marvel's Avengers, which is sure to appease fans of both the cinematic film franchise and the game.

But players should be hasty if they want to reap the anniversary's rewards, since they have few days left to claim them. The anniversary bundle was released on September 2, and its free cosmetic and items are only available in Marvel's Avengers' Marketplace until September 9.

Marvel's Avengers is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
