Marvel’s Avengers Shows Reworked UI And Black Panther’s Royal Legacy Outfit

Marvel’s Avengers is about to receive its next major content update, which will bring a fully reworked user interface.

The War for Wakanda expansion is launching on August 17, adding a new story campaign, the region of Wakanda, T’Challa character (voiced by Kratos actor Chris Judge), and new missions to the game for free. However, another major thing to be excited about is the updated UI, which was shown by Crystal Dynamics on Twitch.

The devs revealed the character gear loadout screen was completely reworked and will be further improved based on the players’ feedback. The main goal is to make your loot management much easier and improve the way your hero’s stats are displayed by removing tons of unnecessary tabs and buttons. It also supports D-Pad movement due to its grid setup, which was a highly requested feature. You’ll also be able to move the extra gear to the inventory locker and vice versa in the gear menu.

Apart from its better functionality, the new UI also serves an aesthetic purpose. Each character’s page will now have a unique theme, the font in the codex has been updated to be easier to read, and the new UI helps to set up the future for comics. Here’s how the game’s new interface will look like after War for Wakanda launch:

There’s also a bunch of useful QoL improvements confirmed like faster item dismantling and shared Faction terminals, allowing to accept all assignments at once. Alongside the new info, fans also got a fresh look at the Royal Legacy Outfit for King T’Challa among some other suits that will be available in the expansion.

Avengers’ recent free weekend shows players still want to give the game a shot, with over 10,000 concurrent players peaked during the event on Steam. If you’re still thinking about whether Marvel’s Avengers is worth buying, you should consider that War for Wakanda will add the most content to the game since its launch at no extra cost.

Marvel’s Avengers War Table for Wakanda will go live on August 16, just before the expansion is released one day later. The event will include looks at gameplay, combat, outfits, and there’s even some “special things” planned, so it’s probably worth tuning in.
