Microsoft has announced that they have just acquired ZeniMax Media, which is the parent company of Bethesda Softworks. Altogether, Bethesda Softworks, Bethesda Game Studios, id Software, ZeniMax Online Studios, Arkane, MachineGames, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog, and Roundhouse Studios are now owned by Microsoft.
