Last month, Ubisoft shut down the servers that were keeping some of its legacy games content available for download. Those servers, which shut down on June 1, supported games like Anno 1404, Far Cry 2, Assassin's Creed 2, and Might & Magic 10: Legacy. As is usually the case with these server shutdowns, this was expected to mostly affect the multiplayer aspects of the above games as well as prevent players from accessing certain DLC add-ons.
However, in the case of Might & Magic 10, the server shutdown also blocked access to much of the base single-player game if you happened to have DLC installed. As reported by PC Gamer, owning even one DLC meant that you couldn't progress past Act 1 in the single-player campaign, and areas added in The Falcon & The Unicorn expansion were completely inaccessible.
There were also some in-game items from the deluxe edition of the game that were inaccessible and of course no multiplayer functionality, but it was the fact that the game's single-player aspects were gutted that really angered a lot of players. Some even resorted to fiddling with the core game files to make Might and Magic 10 playable.

Ubisoft responded to the situation, saying it was "aware and investigating the reported issues with our internal teams." That was a month ago and Ubisoft hasn't provided any update.
However, Ubisoft did leave Might & Magic purchasable on Steam for the past month. This resulted in a lot of negative reviews as angry Steam players posted their thoughts on the recent DRM server shutdown and its effect on the game.
Only now has Ubisoft removed the option to purchase Might & Magic 10. A new message on the game’s storefront reads: "At the request of the publisher, Might & Magic 10: Legacy is no longer available for sale on Steam."
Whether this means Ubisoft is still investigating or has completely given up trying to fix Might & Magic 10 remains unknown. Expect a similar server shutdown for Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2 and Rainbow Six Lockdown to arrive later this year.
