San Diego Studio is bringing the iconic Field of Dreams to MLB The Show on August 10. Based on the popular film from 1989, the new ballpark will see an entire week of live content dedicated to its arrival.
The Field of Dreams will be available as a free update this Tuesday. San Diego Studio said it "worked closely with the field architects and MLB to accurately replicate this one-of-a-kind field." If you've ever seen the classic movie from decades ago, you'll feel right at home as you walk out onto the pitcher's mound.

"Recreating the Field of Dreams was no small task for us, and because of that we needed to be very fluid in our build process," Shawn Robles, senior staff environment artist, said. "We started listing all the elements in the stadium that would be unique and representative of this famed site, like the corn for example. We were able to start designing the light structure locations, seating area, and general surroundings.
"One of the more technically important things in-stadium is the field dimensions. This render was a good start, but far from the essential information we needed to create a true representation that this stadium demands."
Featuring Kevin Costner, James Earl Jones, Ray Liotta, and Amy Madigan, Field of Dreams follows the story of a farmer in Iowa who – after hearing a mysterious voice – builds a ballpark in his cornfield. Once it's completed, the ghosts of famous players begin showing up to play, including "Shoeless" Joe Jackson.
MLB The Show 21 will be discounted on the PlayStation Store until August 18. Picking up the game on PS4 will net you a 33% discount, while PS5 owners can still find the game 29% off MSRP.
