The English version of Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story will discontinue service after only 15 months after launch.
In a recent news post, the team at Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story – English have announced the discontinuation of the game in English speaking regions. The game launched in English in June of last year and an anime based on the game premiered earlier this year.
Some customers are frustrated at the game’s short lifespan, the short notice of the announcement, and the inability to transfer their progress to the Japanese version of the game. Those who bought “Magia Stones” will not be refunded, and players will still be able to make in-app purchases until September 10th.

We regret to inform you that Magia Record – English will be ceasing all operations on 9/29 at 11:59 PM PDT. Unfortunately, after that time the game will no longer be available to download or play.
We are incredibly thankful for all the support you have given Magia Record – English since its release in June of 2019. Without you, there would be no Magia Record.
Magia Stones will still be available for purchase until 9/10 at 11:59 PM PDT.
※ Paid Magia Stones cannot be refunded. Please be sure to use all of your remaining Magia Stones before 9/29.
30 Day Magia Passes will also still be available for purchase until 8/30 at 11:59 PM PDT.
※ Accounts for Magia Record – English cannot be transferred to other region’s versions.

At present, no reason has been given for the end of service. Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Side Story – English will remain playable until the end of the day on September 29th.
