Monster Train The Last Divinity

Good Shepherd Entertainment and developer Shiny Shoe have released the public beta test for The Last Divinity DLC for Monster Train.

As previously reported, the game takes place in a frozen-over hell. The last pyre has been loaded onto a train for its protection, the only thing that can restore the underworld. Choose your clan, choose your path, build your deck, upgrade your cards, and fight across three battlefields at once as enemies climb up through the train.

The public beta test can be accessed through Steam until January 10th, and introduces the Wurmkin Clan. Born from the corpse of the Bogwurm Titan, the creatures use Echos- crystallized memories of the Titan- to gain a fraction of its power.

The faction specializes in using these Echos to afflict foes with Rend (DOT that increases with more Charged Echos on a floor), buff allies, hatch powerful creatures, or spent on powerful spells. Several monsters also gain benefits from playing spell cards with Consume (removed from play for that battle).

The DLC will also add a new rare unit for all but one clan (with Melting Remnant getting a new rare spell, 11 new artifacts, new Concealed Caverns events, the Shards currency (which apply affects as you gain them, at the risk of powerful enemies turning up), Unit Synthesis (sacrificing a unit to power up another), and a new final battle under certain conditions.

There is also a new card mastery, 10 new mutators, 5 new Expert Challenges, and 3 new mastery card frames (and unlock conditions). It should be noted the DLC will not be launching as soon as the public beta ends. You can find the full rundown on the DLC and planned update here.
