They say that a bad day can be made better by fishing and Bunnyhug‘s debut game, Moonglow Bay, takes this idea and runs with it. Yes, the UK-based indie developer has just officially launched its meditative slice-of-life fishing sim on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
Feel free to check out the new launch video down below:
Blending a bright and vibrant Minecraft-esque voxel aesthetic with some calming fishing gameplay, Moonglow Bay is essentially a tranquil fish-’em-up RPG that sees you catching sea life, cooking and eating ’em, while exploring a beautiful coastal Canadian town. Plus, there’s also a drop-in couch co-op mode to help hook your buddies in, too.
For those with an active Xbox Game Pass subscription, you’ll be able to nab the title there for no extra charge. In addition, Moonglow Bay is set to arrive on the Epic Games Store on Nov. 11.
Moonglow Bay is out now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass for Console and Xbox Game Pass for PC. It’s priced at $24.99/ £19.99 on all platforms.

In Moonglow Bay, you play as a rookie angler, working together with friends, family, and neighbours to hone your fishing skills, nourish relationships, and restore a remote town’s fractured community.
Moonglow Bay is set along the Eastern Canadian coastline during the 1980s and offers players a diverse and emotionally charged story, complemented by a relaxing, slice-of-life fishing RPG.
You play as a rookie angler, struggling to fulfil your partner’s final wish by keeping a business afloat in the face of impending bankruptcy.
Whether playing solo or with a friend in drop-in-drop-out local co-op, you’ll need to cook your catch of the day, then sell a variety of recipes to upgrade your shop, gear, and fishing boat.
Combining a playful voxel art style with a sumptuous soundtrack, your journey is split into several distinct story arcs featuring a fully-inhabited town to traverse and the potential for epic encounters with the rumoured Mystical Monsters of Moonglow.
With your journal and rod in hand, explore the furthest reaches of the ocean, from frigid glaciers to boiling geysers, and learn to cast nets, set traps and fish through ice, documenting over 100 varied aquatic species while uncovering the secrets of Moonglow Bay.
