After a four-year break, Live Spectacle Naruto has announced its new live stage performance titled NARUTO: Uzumaki Naruto Monogatari. This will be its first fourth installment and the performance is slated to cover the "Pain's Assault" and "Five Kage Summit" arcs from the anime series.
The first poster design was revealed and it shows actors Masakai Nakao and Ryuji Sato as Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha, respectively. Naruto is the titular main character who is orphaned and trains to become a Hokage, which is a position of leadership amongst a ninja village. Sasuke Uchiha is one of two surviving members of the Uchiha clan after his family and clan was murdered by his own brother. These live-action performances have been a big hit since they started in 2015 and have found success overseas in places including China and Malaysia.

Advance tickets are going on sale from September 11-27, while the performance will happen in Tokyo from December 4-13 and Osaka from December 25-January 2. Those looking to purchase tickets can check it out on the official Japanese website if they wish to secure their spot while it's early. There's plenty of dates, so it's likely that many fans have a good chance at securing their spot.
Naruto is often dubbed as one of the "big three anime" and it's not hard to see why. It had a relatively long storyline and multiple fillers, spin-off films, live-action adaptations, video games, and even sequel series. It was able to add live-action stage performances to the list but it was on hiatus due to the pandemic. Fortunately for fans, it will be returning.
Based on the quick look from the making-of video, Naruto fans can notice the attention to detail that is put into the stage production. The costumes are incredibly accurate and there's even a section where Rock Lee is working out while everyone else is studying, which fans of the show will be familiar with.
Naruto and Naruto Shippuden are often highly regarded amongst fans, while the succeeding series Boruto was not met with a warm reception. Boruto is a series that follows the son of Naruto and is recommended to only watch after finishing the original series.
NARUTO: Uzumaki Naruto Monogatari will be live in December 2021.
