The Secret Side Path (Night) course is unlocked at the same time as its daytime equivalent and is home to 15 different types of Pokemon. Due to the course merging with the Park (Night) course towards the end of the run though, it's possible to encounter a few additional Pokemon like Eevee and Pikachu in the flowery meadow as well.

Unlike most of the regular courses in New Pokemon Snap, Side Path (Night) has just one request attached to it and it's tied to the course's only exclusive Pokemon, Foongus. Thankfully, there are a ridiculous amount of Foongus on the default route, so players should have no trouble whatsoever adding one of them to their Photodex.
- Caterpie – There are a couple of Caterpie in the starting area and a few more in the area with all the Foongus if players stick to the default route. There are also some in a hole on the right of the first hollowed-out log and one more immediately after players pass the sleeping Torterra.
- Combee – Combee shows up directly in front of players at the beginning of the course and then appears periodically with Vespiquen right up until the end.
- Foongus – There are loads of Foongus in the second area if players stick to the default route. Players will also find some hanging out in the flowery meadow later on, although this is technically classed as part of the Park (Night) course.
- Hoothoot – Hoothoot is sat on a stump in the area with all of the Foongus.
- Ducklett – If players take the first alternate route that leads towards the Snorlax, they'll see two Ducklet beneath them almost immediately after changing course. There's also one in a hole on the left-hand side of the first hollowed-out tree branch.
- Snorlax – Snorlax can be found sleeping by scanning some plants near the start of the course.
- Pichu – Perhaps exhausted from its daytime exploits, Pichu is taking a nap on Snorlax's belly. If players wake the Tangrowth in the flowery meadow with a Fluffruit, they'll also find a Pikachu sleeping peacefully with an Eevee.
- Scorbunny – Scorbunny is snoozing right next to Pichu on top of Snorlax.
- Vespiquen – Vespiquen shows up to scold some misbehaving Combee shortly after players pass through the first hollowed-out branch and then follows players through to the end of the course.
- Torterra – There's a Torterra sleeping between the two hollowed-out branches and three more in the open area just before the NEO-ONE reverts back to normal size.
- Pinsir – Pinsir is buried in the ground in the area just after the second tree branch. Players can get it to pop out by performing a few scans.
- Murkrow – There are a couple of Murkrow hanging out near the Pinsir. If the Pinsir emerges, they'll fly away and then reappear in the open area shortly after.
- Vivillon – A garden pattern Vivillon can be seen fluttering around the open area near the end of the course.
- Pidgeot – Pidgeot can be seen sleeping in its nest on the left-hand side of the open area with all of the Torterra. If the Murkrow from earlier shows up, it will briefly wake the Pidgeot.
- Tangrowth – There's a Tangrowth sleeping in the open area near the Torterra. Another one shows up later in the flowery meadow.
