Nickelodeon Will Host A Tournament For Its Upcoming Game, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl
Nickelodeon’s All-Star Brawl has been hyped since its announcement, as it plays on fans’ nostalgia by giving them the players to fight with their favorite Nickelodeon stars of the olden times including Spongebob Squarepants, Patrick Star, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and more. The game is officially set for release on October 5th on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Switch. To celebrate its release, Nintendo will be hosting a throwdown invitational to find out who’s the best brawler around.
Via a post on its official twitter, Nickelodeon announced the Nicktoon Throwdown Invitational for its upcoming game. The tournament will be held between October 5th to October 9th. The first round will be held on October 5th and 6th, while the Semi-Finals will be on October 7th and 8th. The Grand Finals will be hosted on October 9th. The tournament commences at 5P.M. EST on each day and can be viewed live and for free here.
The tournament will include eight players. The prizes from GameMill Entertainment include beta build access prior to launch day and a free copy of the game for every competing player. In another tweet, the company stated, “We have a EXCITING lineup of competitors (seriously you don’t want to miss this). You can use the link above to purchase the game when it releases next week”
The decision to have a Day One Tournament is interesting and positive. With games in genre such as Street Fighter, Smash Bros. and more, a healthy eSports scene would benefit the game greatly!
