Nidus Prime Access Comes To Warframe On September 8 Alongside Operation: Plague Star

Warframe is releasing Nidus Prime Access on September 8, giving fans a chance to jump into the shoes of a powerful variant of the plague-ridden Frame. Coinciding with its launch is the return of Operation: Plague Star – which sees you defending the Plains of Eidolon against the Infested.

Nidus Prime will be available across all platforms on September 8, and Operation: Plague Star will run from September 8 until September 30. You'll also find the Revenant Mephisto Collection, which includes an alternate skin for the Revenant Warframe and was created by Debby Sheen – the popular artist and enthusiastic Warframe fan.

If you're not interested in purchasing Nidus Prime Access, Digital Extremes is giving you a chance to add it to your arsenal through in-game activities:

"For a limited time, players can rally together to defend the Plains of Eidolon against Infested lifeforms before they make their way to Cetus," Digital Extremes announced. "During this three-week limited-event, players participating in Operation: Plague Star will also have the chance to receive Nidus Prime Relics in drops, adding an additional bonus path to earning Nidus Prime in Warframe."

Two Prime Packs will be up for grabs on September 8. These include:

Warframe has been having a stellar year so far, with TennoCon pushing anticipation for The New War to an all-time high. The massive expansion is expected to arrive later this year after being delayed from its original 2019 launch date.

Until then, you can make use of a variety of Prime Gaming bonuses. Anyone who links their Amazon Prime and Warframe accounts will be eligible for several in-game cosmetics – and it's hard to pass up free gear.
