A Tiktoker has managed to get into the Rolling Loud music festival for free by impersonating the famous Twitch streamer and gaming personality Ninja.
Richard Tyler Blevins, better known by his online alias Ninja, is known for his iconic look and high level of skill. Ninja is a massive gaming personality whose popularity exploded back in 2018 with the rise of Fortnite when he played the game with celebrities Drake, Travis Scott, and JuJu Smith-Schuster. While Ninja and Fortnite have become nearly synonymous, Ninja has also expanded into other media like graphic novels, too. With Ninja becoming as popular as he is, it was only a matter of time before someone attempted to use his look for personal gain.

Enter Nick Wold, frontman of the band Dreamers. Wold is an avid TikToker who goes by the handle DreamersJoinUs. On July 28th, Wold posted a video of himself working his way into the Rolling Thunder music festival by posing as Ninja. The short TikTok chronicles Wold dressed as Ninja, duplicating his signature colored hair and headband while using a face mask to protect his true identity sneaking into the music festival. Wold, looking remarkably like Ninja's Fortnite skin, lies about losing his ID, arrives in a rented black SUV, and catches a ride on the back of a buggy with Jamaican musician Shaggy to get inside the show.
Once inside, Wold posed for photos and interacted with several other celebrities, such as actor Michael B. Jordan, rapper Juicy J, and YouTuber Jake Paul’s security, who all seem completely unaware that he isn't actually Ninja. The video ends with Wold watching the Rolling Loud music festival. The TikTok video has racked up nearly 2 million views, a very impressive feat considering that Wold’s DreamersJoinUs channel only has 28.9 thousand followers. To see the video, click here.
This isn’t the first time that Wold has impersonated Ninja, either. He also used the same outfit and a similar strategy to manage to sneak himself into a celebrity basketball game, as well. Another time, he Ninja’d his way into celebrity hotspot Saddle Ranch Chop House, a western-themed restaurant in Los Angeles. Clearly, Wold is able to deliver quite a convincing Ninja, although it’s likely the face-obscuring masks necessitated by COVID-19 precautions have made his impersonations much more convincing.
While identity theft may be no joke, Ninja and his wife, Jessica Blevins, have both poked fun at Wold’s past impersonations on Twitter and seem to be taking the incidents in stride with good humor. The ease that Wold seems to be able to successfully attend these events as Ninja raises some concerns, though. At no point in the video does anyone seem to question Wold as Ninja or ask him to remove his mask. As he has done this several times now, it is likely that Wold will use his Ninja replication to attend other big-name celebrity events in the future. Ninja, on the other hand, has been busy playing games other than Fortnite.
