In No More Heroes 3, players will have to once again step into the shoes of the used-to-be number one assassin, Travis Touchdown. Considering that players will need to defeat a couple of tough bosses to beat the game's campaign, having healing items and buffs can certainly turn the tide during a hard challenge, especially if players are on the hardest difficulty for No More Heroes 3.

How to Buy Items in No More Heroes 3

In the open-world areas and before the boss fights in No More Heroes 3, players will be able to purchase different types of sushi from DonMai Sushi, a vendor with impeccable taste in Japanese hip-hop music. Players can use currency to buy all sorts of sushi, and each one has a different effect during battle. If players decide to "eat-in," the effects will last until the next battle ends. And Takeout sushi can be eaten during battle, which is how players heal themselves in No More Heroes 3.

How to Use Items and Heal in No More Heroes 3

When players are struggling during a tough fight in No More Heroes 3 and their health is running low, there's no way to heal unless players have a type of sushi called Maguro. Players can carry up to five of these food items, and they cost 500 UC each. To use this sushi (and other types) during battle, players will simply need to scroll through their items by pressing the left and right buttons on the Switch's d-pad.

Once players have the sushi they want selected, they will need to press the up button on the d-pad to eat it and gain its effects. Players should ensure that they're not close to an enemy, as eating sushi will leave Travis Touchdown open to attack for a second or two. If players run out of sushi during battle, they'll need to head back to Bugzaburo at the Sushi shop to purchase more.

Players who really need help during battle can tab over to the Eat-In section and purchase the Tokujo Nigiri. Its cost is high at 5000 UC, but it heals Travis when he dies, allowing players to get a second chance at life during battle.

No More Heroes 3 is now available for the Nintendo Switch as an exclusive title.
