Outriders Guide – How to Easily Farm Legendary and Epic Loot

Outriders_05

Upon completing the story in Outriders, Expeditions will open up for those who want a tougher challenge. They also provide a means to earn Legendary loot, though the difficulty can make farming a slog. Fortunately, there’s an easier way to earn Legendaries – by simply buying them with Drop Pod Resources.

If you visit Tiago, you’ll find him selling Legendaries for Drop Pod Resources. This currency will drop from Expeditions on completion but can also be purchased from Tiago for Titanium. So the easiest way to go about all of this is to sell any loot earned – like Epic items, which we’ll get into – to Bailey for Scrap. Purchase Titanium from her with the same and then trade this to Tiago for Drop Pod Resources.

Proceed to purchase Legendary loot. If Tiago doesn’t have the Legendaries you’re looking for, simply wait for his inventory to refresh. You can use that time to farm Epic loot for more Scrap.

How to Farm Epic Gear

As noted in our leveling tips guide, you can use Beast Hunts to quickly farm Epic weapons and gear. First, ensure that you’re World Tier 7 or higher. Acquire the Beast Hunt and head to the area in question. Kill enemies until the main target appears, though in some cases, it may already have spawned. Take it down quickly and it should drop at least two Epic items on death. Pick them up and then let the other enemies kill you.

Upon respawning, you’ll be back at the area’s beginning and the target will have respawned. Repeat this process until you’ve amassed a good amount of Epic loot. Make sure not to clear the area of other foes after the target beast has been felled, or else the Beast Hunt will be completed. This method is good for gearing up in the mid-game though it’s also a reliable source for Epic loot that can be sold for Scrap (which can then be used for acquiring Legendaries through the above method).

It’s worth noting that certain Hunts – like the Tooka Beast, Splittooth, Sandshifter and Coldclaw – had their loot adjusted due to being “too generous” so it’s best to avoid them when farming.
