Playstation Plus Online Multiplayer Weekend Is Back

Windows Nexus

Playstation Plus Online Multiplayer Weekend has been confirmed to be making a return. Sony has announced that all PS4 and PS5 online multiplayer games will be free this coming weekend. The event runs from August 27 to 28. A PlayStation Plus membership is usually required to play most games online, but this coming weekend that won’t be the case.

Playstation free multiplayer is back, so anyone looking to hop on to a game of Madden NFL 23 or GTA Online can do so. Players who are on Sony’s console can jump online due to Playstation free multiplayer. Be sure to keep in mind that PS Plus isn’t required for every single multiplayer game though, as free-to-play games like Fortnite can be played without it. Regardless, this is a nice way to test out the waters on other games.

Online multiplayer access is one of the many benefits of PlayStation Plus. Others include access to a growing catalog of free games every month, cloud storage, and discounts. The new tier-based PlayStation Plus membership program launched in June, offering Essential, Extra, and Premium options. The Playstation Plus Online multiplayer weekend will begin on August 27th and end the next day, on August 28th. You can buy PlayStation Plus here.
