It's been revealed that players who pre-order Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will receieve a free Manaphy egg as part of their pre-order bonuses. As described by the game's official website, players who pre-order will be able to use the game's Mystery Gift function in order to receive the egg over the Internet. A Nintendo Switch Online subscription is not required in order to receive the egg.

If you're new to the Pokemon series or just the egg mechanic, players who want this pre-order Manaphy will need to put the egg in their party and walk around with it until it hatches. Eggs only hatch when a player has walked the required number of steps, although there are certain Pokemon like Magby with abilities like Flame Body which speed up the process.
Pokemon veterans may also be aware that hatching Manaphy will let players gain access to a second Mythical Pokemon. If a player leaves a Manaphy and a Ditto at the Pokemon Nursery in Solaceon Town, they will receive an egg which will eventually hatch into a Phione. The game's official website explains that it will require around 10 hours of gameplay to get to the Nursery though.
There are also a couple of other pre-order bonuses besides the Manaphy egg that you will receive depending on which version of the game you buy. Those who pre-order the digital edition of the game will also receive 12 Quick Balls, while those that pre-order the Double Pack of the game will receive 200 regular Poke Balls as well.
In case you missed the Pokemon Presents show earlier today, more details about Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl were shown, including new features such as Partners, Hideaways, and what could possibly be Pokemon Platinum elements. The trailer also shows off the new and improved Underground, Pokemon contests and much more.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are expected to launch on November 19 for Nintendo Switch, with pre-orders currently available right now.
