Pokemon Fan Shows Off Incredible Ghost Pokemon Sleeve Tattoo

Pokemon Ghost Numbers Banner

There's been a variety of Pokemon throughout the series' history, with many having distinct designs and ways they are used. This can be seen with some of Pokemon's Ghost-types, from simplistic shadowy designs to elaborate creatures that take inspiration from many different mythologies or real-world objects. With all of the different spooky Ghost Pokemon over the years, one fan decided to get a tattoo sleeve that pays tribute to the type.

Pokemon tattoos are one of the ways that fans express their love towards the series. Whether it be the designs of the creatures themselves or the art, it allows inspiration and creativity to flow for many fans. This has gotten some love with big names, like music artists. A few years ago, Ariana Grande got an Eevee tattoo since she had put several hours into Pokemon: Let's Go Eevee. This fan's tattoo sleeve however not only covers one Ghost Pokemon, but several different ones throughout the generations.

Posted to the Pokemon subreddit by user ExplanationGreen, this tattoo sleeve depicts several ghost Pokemon. These include Generation 1 classics like Haunter and Gengar, along with more recent additions like the Poke-cosplay imitator Mimikyu. Aside from that, other Ghosts can be seen, like Bannette, Mismagius, and Aegislash. The tattoo sleeve is lovingly detailed, thanks to the use of shading on it. This makes each Pokemon depicted pop out, as if they were in an art style similar to their original renders by Ken Sugimori.

Fans who saw the title of the post and the amount of work that went into making the sleeve, many were baffled at the co-relation between Pokemon only being for kids. Many said that a hobby is valued in the joy and love that goes into it, with many complimenting how much of that had gone into making a beautiful design like this. Fellow users who also had tattoos based on the series agreed, ExplanationGreen included, noting that nostalgia was one of the primary reasons for getting the sleeve made.

Pokemon is a series that is looked upon quite fondly by many people, whether it would be from the original games on the Gameboy, the long-running anime series, or even some of the recent games released. With a new set of Pokemon games on the horizon, there's a lot to look forward to as a fan. Whether someone is an old or a new fan of the series, this design reminds fans that the creativity in the Pokemon fanbase is endless and can be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of age.
