Pokemon Go Dev Launching Its Own Line Of Clothing And Outdoor Gear

Niantic, the developer behind the wildly popular Pokémon Go, is looking to get folks Poke-hunting in style with the launch of Niantic Supply. The shop, which is now open for an exclusive presale, offers gear that is globally inspired and ready for adventure.

Niantic Supply, aptly dubbed as a place where “Explorers like yourself can look the part”, will offer limited run items throughout the year. These will likely sell fast, so be sure to sign up for news and alerts through the Niantic Supply Online Store. While those limited run items will come and go, you can purchase the items from the Core Collection all year round. Called the “root of your expedition”, this collection features hand-picked items that will make an explorer’s stroll through the park both feel and look good. Currently the collection includes items like a cooler bag, baseball-style cap, t-shirts, hoodies, scrunchies, and even a fanny pack. You can check these items out here.

For the Core Collection, Niantic partnered with South African artist Arnelle to design the colorful and playful patterns that adorn the items. Arnelle is an illustrator and designer who takes inspiration from the nature around her. For the Poke-inspired collection, Niantic offers three nature-themed patterns, the first is “Peaks and Valleys” which is a topographic style that is meant to resemble the exploration style Pokémon Go users will see either on their screen or underfoot. Next is the “Finguistics” pattern which is inspired by the swiping motions that players use when trying to catch an elusive Pokémon or feed their buddy a delicious berry. Finally, the “Exploration” pattern takes inspiration from the actual outdoors that players will venture into as they attempt to catch them all.

Niantic will debut new products for the Core Collection all month long, leading up to when they officially become available at the store launch on July 30. Until then, fans can peruse an exclusive preview of the collection and preorder their favorites at the online store. Plus, for the first time ever, Niantic is offering new and improved shipping to over 40 countries so trainers all over the world can go hunting in style.

Pokemon Go recently celebrated its fifth anniversary and, if this collection is any indication, it doesnt look to be slowing down anytime soon.
