Alolan Ninetales has quickly established itself as one of the most popular picks in Pokemon Unite, and for good reason. The Ice/Fairy Gen 7 powerhouse packs a serious punch when it comes to the all new Pokemon MOBA, to the extent that it's probably one of the best Attackers in the game.
Despite its popularity, though, Ninetales isn't the easiest character to play. It has access to an early evolution, which certainly helps it to make an impact early in the match, but reckoning with late-game sweepers like Gengar and Garchomp is no easy feat.

Pokemon Unite Ninetales Build Guide: Best Moves
There's a lot of contention about which moves are best for Alolan Ninetales in Pokemon Unite, although I'd like to think one build stands above the rest. At the beginning of the match, it's easy to choose Icy Wind over Powder Snow because of its higher DPS, but when you take cooldowns into account, Powder Snow actually does more damage per fight. This isn't too important, though, as you unlock the move you didn't pick at level three anyway.
The main thing to know about Alolan Ninetales is that you should choose Avalanche and Blizzard for your two moves. Avalanche doubles as a support move, creating an impassable wall that can save teammates, while Blizzard deals massive DPS and induces both slow and knockback.
Pokemon Unite Ninetales Build Guide: Best Items
For held items, you want to lean into Ninetales' status as a special attacker by giving it either the Wise Glasses or Special Attack Specs. As always, the Scoring Shield is a brilliant item for a Pokemon this offensive, while the Shell Bell adds a pretty decent amount of sustainability to Ninetales' build.
For battle items, I'd recommend going with X Attack to give yourself an edge in battles by making the most of your already huge Sp. Atk stat.
Pokemon Unite Ninetales Build Guide: Best Playstyle
As an Attacker, you'll want to run either top or bottom lane with another character, preferably a Support, All-Rounder, or Defender. Aim to hit level four by farming minions as quickly as possible, which allows you to evolve into Alolan Ninetales. From here, you'll be the primary damage dealer in your lane, but you're also a bit of a glass cannon so you need to make sure to cooperate well with whoever is running your lane with you.
Chain Avalanche and Blizzard for massive damage potential and focus on getting your points scored whenever an opportunity arises – never do nothing, because if the level economy falls out of your favour, Ninetales will become pretty useless very fast. On the flip side, managing to snag an extra level or two will show just how big of a difference there is when your Special Attack is being matched with an underleveled defense stat. Your priority for the first five minutes should be getting as many levels as possible as quickly as possible.
